Why can’t I see digital images of all portraits?

The Gallery is actively engaged in digitising its collection, and brings approaching 10,000 new images on to the website each year.

We cannot guarentee a date when any unillustrated portrait will be digitised, but we aim to get recent acquisitions illustrated on the website within months of their acquisition.
