Chelsea, 1 July, 1868

Dear Sir,
Unexpectedly I find I shall have to go to Scotland in about 10 days, and (illegible) there I know not yet how long.

If you do want me again, therefore, let it be within that time, fairly within. I am anxious to neglect nothing for perfection of our mutual enterprise, in which I see
