4 People in sitter grouping: The Who

Regarded as one of the UK’s most important bands of all time, The Who (originating from a group called The Detours), are known for their representation of 1960s mod culture, with their bulls-eye logo of red, blue and white and hits including My Generation. Members Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon, are credited for their innovative musical practices, including the creation of the infamous Power Chord, Windmill Strum and Guitar Smash, as well as the release of rock opera albums Tommy and Quadrophenia, that would go onto inspire motion pictures. Their enduring influence is still apparent today with contemporary musicians such as U2, Jack White and The Flaming Lips crediting them with inspiring the next age of rock musicians.
