13 People in sitter grouping: Carry On Films

From 1958-1992 Peter Rogers and Gerald Thomas produced and directed 31 Carry On films, and a number of TV specials and West End shows, in what would become Britain's longest-running series. Shot firstly in black and white, and then in colour from 1962 (with the exception of Carry on Cabby and Carry on Spying) each film was made using predominantly the same cast and crew. The series' very British humour and innuendo laden scripts remain immensely popular to this day; actors such as Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Barbara Windsor and Joan Sims are still best loved for their comedy performances in these films.
