The Turn of the Century
This room is dedicated to some of the most important artistic figures at the end of the 19th Century. On one wall there are a group of portraits by John Singer Sargent, including a full-length portrait of Sir Frank Swettenham in white uniform. Other points of focus are a series of portraits by artists associated with the New English Art Club, including Sickert and Steer, self-portraits by brother and sister Augustus and Gwen John and a group of Epstein bronze busts. A wallcase is dedicated to special displays, details of which can be found via the link below.
