Sir Granville Bantock
(1868-1946), ComposerSitter in 8 portraits
Composer; Professor of Music, Birmingham University (1908-34). Bantock's works, often on oriental themes, include the choral symphony Atalanta in Calydon and an opera, The Seal-Woman. He was responsible for introducing Sibelius to the British concert-going public.
