Sitter associated with 345 portraits
Eldest son of Queen Victoria. Denied any public responsibilities, he devoted his sixty-year apprenticeship as Prince of Wales to sport and cafe society. His reign from 1901 saw a new era of prosperity, expansion and pageantry which restored his popularity and is remembered as the Edwardian age.
