Princess Maud (1869-1938), Queen consort of King Haakon VII; daughter of King Edward VII

Sitter in 90 portraits
Within six years of marriage the Prince and Princess of Wales had five children. Motherhood enhanced Alexandra's popularity with the British public and brought her closer to the Queen Victoria, who had created a more domestic public image for the monarchy.
