Marie Taglioni (1804-1884), Ballerina

Sitter in 15 portraits
Dancer; first appeared in Vienna, 1822, and subsequently in Paris, established herself as the leading ballet dancer in Europe, appearing frequently in London; her greatest success was in the ballet La Sylphide.
