Sir Geraint Llewellyn Evans was an opera singer. He made his début at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in 1948 and became the company's principal baritone until his retirement in 1984. Evans sang many roles throughout the world, but he was particularly associated with the characters of Falstaff and Figaro.
