Director and producer for television, stage, film and opera; actor and writer; Research Fellow in Neuropsychology, University of Sussex. Miller qualified as a doctor at Cambridge before co-authoring and performing in the revue, Beyond the Fringe (1960) and debuting as a director with John Osborne's Under Plain Cover (1962). His productions include King Lear (1970), Rigoletto (1975), The Mikado (1987) and La Bohème (2009). His wide-ranging achievements include The Body in Question, a series for BBC television (1978) and Mirror Image: Jonathan Miller on Reflection, an exhibition curated for the National Gallery (1998).
