Sir John Vane

Pharmacologist. With Bengt Samuelsson and Sune Bergstrom, Vane won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1982 for work on the effects of hormone-like substances, prostaglandins, and aspirin. He has also worked on the pharmacological effects of adrenaline.
