(1755-1831), Younger of the 'The Ladies of Llangollen'

Sitter in 7 portraits
Better known as the 'Ladies of Llangollen', for nearly 50 years Lady Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby were famous for their decision to live together in complete seclusion from society. Though these two ladies were recluses there are many portraits known of them and they received many society visitors.
