Jimmy Jewel was a television and film actor. The son of a comedian and actor, Jewel's early career was as part of a double act with Ben Warriss; the duo made regular television appearances in the 1950s after a popular radio comedy series Up the Pole in the post-war years. After splitting from Warriss in 1966, Jewel starred in the sitcom Nearest and Dearestwith Hylda Baker and in the later drama series Spring and Autumn. His film appearances included The Krays.
