William Bambridge (1819-1879)

Born in Windsor, Bambridge worked as a schoolmaster with Bishop Selwyn's mission to New Zealand and returned to Windsor in 1848. From around 1854 he was regularly employed by the Royal Family, acting as photographer, printer, calligrapher and organiser of the Queen's private negatives.
