If, as I am informed, Lambda was the person originally known as Vilmos Levy, he was briefly married to Lilla Bauer in 1938/9 - (after her long relationship with Gyorgy Buday (wood cut artist) which lasted from 1933-38.
Levy did a bust of Lilla before they split up in London, which they reached on her visa in 1938. (She retained hers from travels with the Ballet Jooss where she was a principal dancer from 1932-37, then leaving to form her own company in Budapest - fleeing the country in 1938 after her very successful production of Madach's "Tragedy of Man" at Szeged open air theatre stage).
Lilla subsequently married the composer, Matyas Seiber (in 1946). She died aged 99 in 2011.
