Oscar Nemon, sculptor and medallist, was born in Croatia. He moved to Vienna in 1923 and Brussels in 1925, to study at the Academie des Beaux Arts. In 1938 he fled to England, and lived in Oxford. After the War he made sculptures of many distinguished politicians and heads of state.
