David Buckland (1949-)
Artist of 11 portraits
Known equally well for his stage designs and innovative photography Buckland was a student at the London College of Printing 1967-70 and had his first one-man show in 1982 at the Northern Arts Gallery, Newcastle and has exhibited internationally since then. Four of his large-scale cibachrome portraits using front projection were shown at the National Portrait Gallery in a 1985 survey show of young photographers followed by his 1999 one-man show Performances featuring advanced digital work.
