One of the most significant artists of the late 20th century. Warhol is one of the pre-eminent figures associated with the American Pop Art movement, famous for his iconic Campbell's Soup and Dollar Bill paintings, produced in 1962. He is also well-known for his portraits of celebrities, often based on publicity photographs.
