I remember very Lady Beat coming for tea at Manor Farm Norton during the time I stayed at the farm when evacuated. She was always dressed in black and frightened the life out off me.The Robinson's teneants of Manor Farm made sure I was properly dressed and had to stand whilst her ladyship enjoyed a cup of tea. I will always remember going to Norton Hall for maypole dancing in the presence of Lady Beat.
