I believe that Eric Coop was a member of a family well known for its photographic endeavours - including Denys Coop, the noted cinematographer who worked on such films as "The Third Man" and "Superman". According to my late mother, the family lived locally to her in Harrow for a while and she acquired her first Box Brownie from a family member (perhaps Denys himself). As a possible clue, I have a scan of a postcard dating c1933 of the open-air swimming baths in Harrow, the photography for which is attributed to Eric Coop.
