The photographer is actually a photographic studio: Mesdames Morter which was established c.1923/24 at 2 Lower Grosvenor Place, London, SW1, and later moved to Eaton Row, Hobart Place, SW1. The studio appears to have closed c.1939. The studio was run by Dorothy Morter and Reta Morter.

I am preparing a short paper on the Mesdames which includes further information.
