Wilfrid Newton (sometimes spelled Wilfred Newton) worked at Denham Studios during the 1940s, and photographed stills for the two big
British films: Henry V and Caesar and Cleopatra. It has been difficult to learn about his professional and private life. My interest is in his still photographs of the sets for Caesar and Cleopatra designed by John Bryan who died in 1969.
