Anna Ford

Anna Ford was a journalist and television presenter, best known as a newsreader. She began her career working as a researcher, news reporter and later news reader for Granada Television. She was the first female newsreader on ITN, and helped launch the first British breakfast television programme TV-am. She joined the BBC's Six O'Clock News team in 1989. Ford retired from broadcast news presenting in 2006, and is currently a non-executive director for Sainsbury's.
