Chris O'Dowd

Born in Ireland, O'Dowd studied at University College, Dublin and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He came to prominence playing the character Roy in Channel 4's award-winning sitcom The IT Crowd (2006-10 and 2013). Other television work includes roles in Roman's Empire and period drama The Crimson Petal and The White (2011). O'Dowd's most celebrated film role to date was in the Hollywood comedy Bridesmaids (2011), followed in 2012 by The Sapphires. He has also co-written the autobiographical series Moone Boy (2012), and appeared in the 2013 BBC sitcom Family Tree.
