i would love to see the picture - Archibald Spencer Ireson was a respected stonemason and my great uncle. He was largely responsible for creating the UK's first urban conservation area in Stamford, Lincs, whilst the town mayor, and he set up a group called The Men of Stone.

I'm fairly certain that this is not Archiblad Spencer Ireson. It is in fact my father the Rev Arthurs Stanley Ireson MA Cantab
He was a chaplain in the Royal Airforce Reserve during World War II and the first residentiary Canon of the rebuilt Coventry Cathedral.
He was born in Aston Birmingham on 30 October 1905 and died in Leicester on 3 December 1995
