Lee Evans

(1964-), Comedian and actor

Best known for his slapstick, energetic physical humour. Evans performed as a comedian in working men's clubs and on the alternative circuit before success at the Edinburgh Festival in 1988. He went on to win the Perrier Award in 1993. His tours have also attracted great success, performing to over 500,000 people on a fifty-nine date UK tour Big (2008). Lee Evans's work in television includes the BBC1 sitcom So What Now?. Film appearances include Funny Bones (1995) and There's Something About Mary (1998). He was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2005 for his role in The Producers. In 2011 he toured his stand-up show Roadrunner.
