James Bromley, engraver, was the son of prominent engraver William Bromley. He is best remembered as the engraver of several of Hayter's portraits of prominent public figures. These included a mezzotint of Princess Victoria (1834), which was reissued upon her accession in 1837. He also engraved Hayter's Victoria, Duchess of Kent and Lord John Russell Holding the Reform Bill in 1836.
