Thérèse Oulton (1953-), Painter

Born in Shropshire, studied at St Martin's School of Art and the Royal College of Art. Painted impasto abstract works, using her fingers rather than brushes to manipulate the paint surface and create a more visceral effect. First one person exhibitions at Gimpel Fils in 1984, was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 1987. Showed solo at Marlborough Fine Art in 1990.
