Saville's figurative work can perhaps be seen as a continuation of Freud's research into existential painting. Great slabs of paint combined at times with words gouged out of the surface take these works into a more subversive realm. Her work was in the Royal Academy Sensation exhibition in 1997. Shows with the Gagosian Gallery, and this year exhibited solo in Los Angeles.
