Tess Jaray

Abstract painter. Jaray studied at St. Martin's and the Slade School of Art, where she taught until 1999. She has had one person exhibitions at the Whitworth Art Gallery in 1984, the Serpentine Gallery in 1988, and Purdy Hicks Gallery in 2001. During the 1990s she worked on a number of public commissions including Centenary Square, Birmingham, Jubilee Square at Leeds General Infirmary, and the forecourt to the new British Embassy in Moscow.
