Sir Thomas Erpingham

(1357-1428), Soldier

Sitter in 1 portrait
Sir Thomas Erpingham was an English knight, immortalised as a character in the play Henry V by William Shakespeare, as an officer in Henry's army. For a while Erpingham supported John Wycliffe's heretical campaign for the promotion of the English rendition of the Holy Bible, but he is best remembered for his military service.
