Born Beresford Romeo, Jazzie B formed Soul II Soul with Philip Harvey and Nellee Hooper in 1983. The group began by providing sound systems to warehouse parties and selling clothes, going onto make records by 1987. Club Classics. Volume 1 (1989) was the album that brought the band to the public eye with hits Keep on Movin, written by Jazzie B, and Back to Life. Jazzie B Continues to be a major music producer and has signed dance act Wookie to his label.
