Donovan (Donovan Phillips Leitch)

Folk singer, born Donovan Phillips Leitch, was first touted as Britain's Bob Dylan. Began playing in folk clubs before his single Catch The Wind charted in 1965. Other hits include Colours (1965), Sunshine Superman and Mellow Yellow (both 1966) featuring Paul McCartney. In 1968 joined the Beatles on a transcendental meditation course resulting in more hits including Hurdy Gurdy Man and Jennifer Juniper (both 1968).
