She acted throughout the U.S.A., Australia and in England before the queen. There, she met Ibrahim Hassan, an Oxford graduate who was a prince of the Ottoman empire.
Universal Studio's 1915 silent movie "Under the Crescent" was composed of a set of six shorts about her experience marrying him and then trying to escape after finding that through her marriage she had lost her American citizenship. It was directed by Helen (Nell) Shipman and filmed at the Brand library at El Miradero, Glendale, United States.
