Isaac Oluwole (died 1932), Assistant Bishop of Lagos

Assistant Bishop of Western Equatorial Africa. Oluwole attended Fourah Bay College and received his BA. Principal of the Christian Missionary Society Lagos Grammar School 1879-93. Ordained a Deacon in 1881, Oluwole became a priest three years later. In 1893 he visited England. In April he journeyed to Durham to have his degree of Doctor of Divinity conferred by Durham University, and in June he was consecrated at St Paul's Cathedral as Assistant Bishop of Western Equatorial Africa. In 1893 he moved to Lagos and remained Assistant Bishop when it became a Diocese in 1919.
