(Cedric) Keith Simpson
(1907-1985), Forensic scientistSitter in 7 portraits
The leading forensic pathologist in Britain from the late 1940s until his retirement in 1972, Simpson studied at Guy's Hospital, London and undertook post-mortems at Southwark mortuary. He became one of the few pathologists designated as official investigators and helped to solve several sensational murder cases. His autobiography Forty Years of Murder(1978) became an international bestseller.
