Mariella Frostrup (1962-), Television presenter and film critic

Oslo born daughter of a Norwegian journalist and Scottish artist mother. Best known as a journalist working in television, radio and print. Spent her childhood in Ireland but moved to London at the age of sixteen. Early jobs included employment as a recording technician for the Rolling Stones and a sojurn as a rock PR. Now celebrated as a respected arts critic and opinion maker. Writes a column and major interviews for the Observer, is Harpers & Queen's film critic and presents BBC Radio Four's Open Book.
