Milliner Stephen Jones graduated from St Martin's School of Art in 1979 and opened his first millinery salon in Covent Garden in 1980. His inventive and eccentric designs were an immediate success. In 1984, he became the first British milliner to work in Paris designing hats for Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler and Comme des Garcons. Now an established star of the fashion scene, his celebrity clients have included Spandau Ballet, Boy George, Madonna, Björk and Kylie Minogue. Jones has created a fragrance to coincide with the 25th anniversary of i-D Magazine.
