Sitter in 2 portraits
The Angel of the North which dominates a hillside in Gateshead is perhaps the best-known of Gormley's sculptures, and the most controversial. Working in different scales, Gormley's sculptures deal with the human body and human experience. He won the Turner Prize in 1994.
