Neurdein (active 1860s)
Artist associated with 9 portraits
Little is known about either of the Neurdein brothers, including their exact birth and death dates (A. Neurdein was born before 1840 and died after 1912 and E. Neurdein was born in c. 1845 and died after 1913). They established a photographic studio in Paris in the early 1860s, offering landscape and architectural photographs as well as portraits. It appears that they worked into the 20th Century, taking photographs of their travels around Europe and including their work in various exhibitions. The National Portrait Gallery holds more than 10 of their photographs.
