Anne Noggle specialised in photographing middle aged and older people, particularly her friends and family. She produced a study called Face Lift that examined her own responses to having that operation. Noggle was the first woman trained to fly American military aircraft and served in the Second World War and Korea. She later used this experience to work with woman veteran pilots in the Soviet Union.
