Geoffrey Nelson was the eldest son of William Nelson,O.B.E and Anna (nee Read). He was born on 30 October 1893 in Chorlton, Manchester. He died on 15th December 1943 in Sanatorium D'Avon, Fontainbleau, Seine at Marne, France, from tuberculosois. He was unmarried and had one son who died of tuberculosis. He had been an artist on the continent during WW2 and had been interned in France by the German Occupation Force. I have two of his paintings.
