Henry Melville Thomas: a younger son of Matthew Henry Thomas, tea & coffee planter of Madulkele, Kandy, Ceylon, and his wife Marian (or Marianne) Theresa née Skinner.
Born in Colombo 26 Jan. 1870; died at Bagshot, Surrey, 28 May 1940 and was buried in Cheltenham [announcement in The Times].
First wife Mary ('May'), 2nd daughter of Lt.Gen. Brabazon Henry Pottinger, Bombay Artillery.
