I purchased a framed head and shoulders pencil sketch of this gentleman ( in uniform, London Regiment i believe) from a market stall many years ago, info found inside, ' Lt Col drawn from life 1919',
sketch by J. A. Stevenson, who i believe was a sculptor, used the pseudonym 'myrander' if i have the right j a alexander!
there was a second framed drawing on the stall of a female, framed EXACTLY the same......i wish i had purchased that one as well, poss Lafonteines mother? or other relative as i don't think he married?
Sketch still hangs on my wall.....not a lot of info out there on Stevenson???
