This is my Grandfather. He was born in Montego Bay Jamaica in 1897. He headed off to Britain and joined the British Army at just 17 years old in 1914. He served his entire life including WWI and WWII from Europe to Washington DC to the Sudan. He was Knighted and awarded the Military Cross. He retired Major General Sir H R Kerr in 1949 and passed in 1974.
