Magazine editor and writer. Jones studied design and photography at Chelsea College of Art and Design and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design before embarking on a career in fashion journalism. In 1983 he became editor of design magazine i-D. Subsequently working as editor of several high-profile and cutting-edge publications, including The Face, Arena, The Sunday Times and The Observer, he is currently editor of GQ. Jones has also written several books on popular culture, including biographies of Jim Morrison and Paul Smith. He has won the Magazine Editor of the Year award four times.
