Forsyth became a professional singer and dancer aged fourteen as 'Boy Bruce - The Mighty Atom'. His role as host of the television programme Sunday Night at the London Palladium from 1958 made him a household name. During the 1970s Forsyth became the quintessential game-show host on The Generation Game and Play Your Cards Right and he continues to appear on television, presenting Strictly Come Dancing.
