Actor. Born in London, the younger brother of Edward Fox, James Fox began his acting career when he was a child. His performance in Joseph Losey's multi-award winning The Servant (1963) won him a BAFTA for Best Newcomer, and during this period Fox established himself as a popular film star. After Performance (1970) opposite Mick Jagger he retired from acting, returning in the 1980s to become a major character actor in films such as A Passage to India (1984) and The Remains of the Day (1993). Fox's recent film roles include George V in Madonna's W.E. (2011).
