Arthur OConnor was born in Ireland and then brought to England. His father was William OConnor, doctor at the London Royal Free Hospital.
He studied at Middle Temple to become a barrister then became an independent MP. He was a great believer that Ireland should remain in Irish hands.
He then became a County Court judge, ending up in Dorset where he eventually retired.
One of his hobbies was translating things into Latin.
He’s my great grandfather
